Committed to natural remedies
The natural world is brimming with completely organic and often rare herbs and plants that have been used over hundreds of years to promote, support and improve physical and emotional wellbeing.
Many health conditions are now scientifically linked to the man-made changes in the world. As many as 80% of non-communicable chronic conditions are now believed to have their origins in lifestyle and environment – we believe there’s never been a better time to return to nature to find answers to society’s wellness issues.
First-hand knowledge and experience
As a last resort to his declining wellbeing, our Managing Director came across the nutrients of the Ganoderma Spore and Tiger Milk Mushroom products and experienced the first-hand remarkable impact they had in supporting the immune system and fighting common chronic respiratory and liver conditions. It helped to transform the response of his body – as Wellness Consultant he had an overwhelming feeling of responsibility to make others knowledgeable of the healing abilities of natural mushrooms.
Passionate about education
At Manitari we believe people have the right to make informed choices about how their health and wellness is managed, and that means being able to understand the choices they have available to them. We believe society needs to engage in better conversations about traditional and natural care options.
It has been proven that people in western societies are prone to health issues based on their social, economic and physical environment. The medical system typically treats symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery.
Manitari takes inspiration from the system of Eastern Medicine, where natural remedies have been used for thousands of years to prevent, diagnose and treat disease. The belief is that qi (energy) flows along the channels in the body and keeps a person's spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health in balance.
How we work
We work hard to stay up to date with new and emerging fungi that promote and support the body’s natural healing process. Our Tiger Milk Mushroom and Ganoderma Spore are the two products that have been highly successful with aiding the body’s natural recovery.
Working with experts on the indigenous fungi of Southeast Asia, we use sustainable methods to source, harvest and cultivate the natural Tiger Milk and Reishi mushrooms that provide the active ingredients for the products we manufacture.
Only the finest quality fungi are used in our products and we are meticulous in ensuring the purity of the source ingredients is safeguarded at all times to ensure you receive a product that is 100% organic and natural.
No artificial ingredients are present in our supplements and the capsules are certified vegetarian, ensuring they are able to meet the majority of dietary needs.
Expert knowledge, unlimited passion
There are currently more than 1.5 million species of fungi worldwide, and these include 38,000 mushroom species. Of these, only 270 have known medicinal properties – meaning their cultivation is a highly specialised skill.
Traditional Chinese healers have long believed that mushrooms such as Reishi, Lignosus and Cordyceps have a wide range of healing powers, which is why the consumption of mushrooms to improve energy, longevity and immunity is part of everyday culture in Southeast Asia.
Helping you to take personal control of wellness
At Manitari we believe the nature of healthcare is changing. In the last two years we have seen unprecedented growth in respiratory illness that the body’s autoimmune system has struggled to control. There is a time and a place for clinical care, just as there is a place for alternative health pathways.
BMJ defined the measure of efficacy of all conventional clinical treatments, based on a review of its own literature in 2016, as follows:
Beneficial – 11%, Likely to be beneficial – 24%, Trade-off between benefits and harms – 7%, Unlikely to be beneficial – 5%, Likely to be ineffective or harmful – 3%, Unknown effectiveness – 50%.
What that means is that only 11% of all conventional medical treatments are proven to be effective. The BMJ could not judge the effectiveness or otherwise of half of them.
We think there has never been a better time to ensure people have the ability to make an informed choice about – and be involved in – their own healthcare.
